Bear climbs to the top of a utility pole
A bear climbed to the very top of a utility pole near a highway in New Mexico, USA. Drivers who captured the scene on video could hardly believe what they were seeing.
Witnesses called 911, but dispatchers explained that tranquilizing the bear could cause it to fall from the height, so they advised people not to interfere. At the same time, wildlife authorities were notified, and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
However, after some time, the bear fell from the pole. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish later confirmed that the animal died from severe injuries it sustained before rescuers arrived.
