“Batman” Hunts Thieves in Mexico
In the Mexican city of Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco state, an unknown man calling himself “Batman” has been capturing motorcycle thieves at night, tying their hands and feet to street lampposts with tape.
At least five such cases have been reported in the past 10 days. Some have had tape taped up to their mouths and the word “thief” written on their foreheads.
Local police have described the actions as illegal and are treating the tied-up men as victims, as they have not yet been proven guilty in court. “Batman” is currently wanted.
