Bakhtiyor Islamov dismissed from the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court

On June 18, the issue of making changes to the composition of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan was considered at a meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis, and a proposal to dismiss Bakhtiyor Islamov from the post of Chairman of the Supreme Court was submitted to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

Bakhtiyor Islamov has been serving as Chairman of the Supreme Court since August 2022. Prior to this, he held various leadership positions in the judiciary and public administration.

Robakhon Anvarovna Mahmudova, Chairman of the Political Council of the Social Democratic Party "Adolat" and head of the "Adolat" SDP faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, was elected Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
