Azerbaijani Foreign Minister: We highly appreciate the opportunity to hold meetings and talks in Moscow

During the current visit to Moscow, it is planned to discuss the post-conflict situation in the region and bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in the Russian capital.

"This format of the meeting was supposed at the end of last year, but due to circumstances beyond the control of the participants in this meeting, it did not take place then," the minister said.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister thanked S. Lavrov and highly appreciated the opportunity to hold meetings in a bilateral and trilateral format, discuss a number of issues related to the post-conflict settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.

J. Bayramov also thanked his Russian colleague for the attention paid in Russia to the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

"It is absolutely not surprising for us the attention that all state structures, public organizations and ordinary citizens of the Russian Federation pay to events dedicated to the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan. His figure was unifying and personifying the friendship and unity that has always been between our countries and peoples," Bayramov said.
