Azerbaijani Foreign Minister: there are real chances to sign a peace treaty with Armenia

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
After the restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty throughout its entire territory, there are real chances to sign a peace treaty with Armenia, and there is hope that this country will positively assess this opportunity.
This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a telephone conversation with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
During the negotiations, the situation in the region was discussed, as well as the prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Jeyhun Bayramov informed his colleague in detail about the military-political provocations carried out by Armenia in recent years, as well as the threats posed by the illegal Armenian armed forces on the territory of Azerbaijan.

He recalled that AR is not targeting the Armenian residents of Karabakh, which was confirmed by the UN mission that visited the region, as well as by the International Committee of the Red Cross and even the Prime Minister of Armenia.

The Foreign Minister noted that the ongoing slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan, allegations of allegedly carried out “ethnic cleansing” against Armenian residents are unfounded, this is part of the political manipulations of Armenia and some countries.

He also said that Azerbaijan has announced plans for the reintegration of Armenian residents, work is underway in this direction, and appeals received from the Armenians of Karabakh through the corresponding portal are being considered.
The parties also exchanged views on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
