Azerbaijan proposes to expand places of state order for education in universities in three areas

In the last 3 years, the main attention in the formation of the state order for undergraduate and graduate studies in higher educational institutions has been given to the expansion of specialties in technical and natural sciences, technologies.

Report informs, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov said this today during the second SDG dialogue in Baku on the theme "Towards 2030: socio-economic inclusiveness in Azerbaijan".

"In order to increase the accessibility and inclusiveness of higher education, as well as further increase the accessibility of higher education for low-income segments of the population, the number of students studying at the expense of the state has been increased. If in 2018 the share of state orders in the general enrollment plan was 27%, then at present this the figure reaches 50%," Mammadov said.
