Azerbaijan increased spending on car imports by 47%

In January-April this year, Azerbaijan imported 29,855 vehicles for various purposes worth $199.3 million.

Report informs citing the State Customs Committee that this is 47.4% and 27.8% more than in the same period last year.

For 4 months, the import of vehicles intended for the transport of 10 or more people, including the driver, decreased by 4.3 times and amounted to 55 units (by USD 3.772 million), and the import of cars and other vehicles, mainly intended for the transport of people increased by 27.9% and amounted to 27,589 units (by 382.169 million US dollars).

In addition, imports of motor vehicles for the transport of goods increased by 42.8%, to 2,061 units (worth $30.375 million), and imports of special-purpose motor vehicles increased by 48.5%, to 150 units (worth $16.83 million).
