At a wedding in Turkey, the bride and groom received gifts worth over 1.5 billion Uzbek soums.
The lavish celebration in a village became widely discussed on social media. A total of 6 million Turkish lira was collected: about 3 million lira in gold for the bride and another 3 million lira in cash for the groom. The festivities lasted two days, with a grand feast for guests that included 35 sheep being slaughtered. The bride expressed gratitude to everyone present, saying that for her the greatest wealth is building a happy family.
