As a result of the conflict between Israel and the Hamas movement, 22 journalists were killed. This was reported by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

According to reports, eight media workers were injured, and three were missing or captured.

According to CPJ, 18 of the dead were Palestinians, three were Israeli citizens, and one was Lebanese. It was noted that journalists in the Gaza Strip "are at risk trying to cover the conflict due to Israeli ground and deadly airstrikes, communications and power outages."

Earlier, Al Jazeera TV reported that the number of victims in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 4,000 since October 7, when the conflict between Hamas and Israel began in the Middle East. About 4,137 Palestinians were killed, and more than 13,000 were injured. Another thousand people (mostly children) are still missing.
