Artist who drew cartoons of Putin and other politicians shot dead

Russian artist and activist Semyon Skrepetsky has been shot dead in Poland. He was shot multiple times at close range in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and two people are believed to have been involved in the murder. One of them has been arrested.

Semyon Skrepetsky (real name Robert Kuzovkov) was from the Altai Krai in Russia and was known for his political cartoons. He mainly drew cartoons of Putin.

He has also satirized figures such as Lukashenko, Kadyrov, and Navalny. He has also criticized the Ukrainian government and is reported to have been recruited into the Mirotvorets base.

Skrepetsky has been living and working in Poland since 2021. One of his most recent actions was in Berlin on June 12. He participated in a protest event on Russia Day, holding a caricature of Stalin and Putin.

Skrepetsky was the author of the book "Russia 2028", ran a satirical video blog on YouTube, and created music under the pseudonym MC Screp.
