Article 15 of the Family Code on the age of marriage is being amended and supplemented with the following provisions.

According to it, it is forbidden to hold engagement ceremonies for young men and women under the age of 18. According to the application of the parties to the marriage, the marriage age can be reduced by one year in case of pregnancy, birth of a child, and the declaration of full legal capacity of a minor.

It is also forbidden to marry relatives of the second, third and fourth degree. Except for cases where the results of medical genetic tests are positive.

10 to 15 times the amount of the basic calculation amount (from 3.4 million soums to 5.1 million soums) for entering into a marriage with a person who is under the age of marriage, to give or marry a person who is under the age of marriage by parents or their substitutes and a fine in the amount of 15 to 20 times of the base calculation amount (from 5.1 million to 6.8 million soums) is imposed.
