Apple is reorganizing its Siri team to create an AI assistant similar to ChatGPT. According to MacRumors, Apple is hiring dozens of new engineers for its “Answers, Knowledge, and Data” team in the US and China.

The new project is not limited to updating Siri. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a “ChatGPT-style search service” and an “answers engine” that will find answers to common questions on the Internet. The company is also exploring the possibility of creating a separate application and new server infrastructure.
