Anthrax outbreak in Kazakhstan

In the village of Prirechnoye, Kostanay Region, Kazakhstan, quarantine was introduced due to the detection of anthrax in cattle. All the dead cattle were vaccinated this spring and the deaths were said to be due to another disease or a reaction to the anthrax vaccine. Despite this, a quarantine was introduced in the village of Prirechnoye, and anti-epizootic measures are being taken.

The Kostanay branch of the republican anti-epizootic detachment has started localizing and eliminating measures in the center of infection. The situation is under the control of regional and district veterinary services.
