The body of 46-year-old Dilafruz Cholliyeva from Samarkand was found in a remote field in Turkey. She had gone to Turkey to work and was caring for an elderly and sick person in the Burhoniya district of the city of Balikesir. The deceased had been wanted since January 21. She had obtained permission to go to the market that day and suddenly disappeared. On March 2, her body was found in an empty field. Currently, the Consulate General is coordinating the repatriation of the body and administrative and legal matters.
Four people have been detained on suspicion of murder, who are reported to be citizens of Uzbekistan.
Dilafruz Cholliyeva is the third Uzbek woman to be brutally murdered in Turkey in the past month, after Durdona Hakimova and Sayyora Ergashaliyeva.
