Another gas leak from the Baysun field

Another gas leak has occurred at the M-25 mine in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya. After videos of the incident were released, the Ministry of Energy issued an official statement. On November 2, a previously lit fire in well No. 202 of the mine temporarily went out, which was said to have occurred as a result of a geological process. The gas was quickly re-ignited to prevent harmful substances from being released into the air.
According to the ministry, this is a standard measure in accordance with industrial safety requirements. The situation is currently stable and under the control of specialists.

Earlier, on March 27, a controlled release of hydrogen sulfide was observed in well No. 202 of the M-25 mine in the Boysun district.
