Another 240 victims of repression were acquitted in the Supreme Court

They were accused of carrying out acts of rebellion against the Soviet government in 1929-31. According to the report of the Supreme Court, in 1929-1931, in the regions of present-day Karakalpakstan, Surkhandarya, Navoi, Samarkand and Kashkadarya, members of the printing movement formed an armed gang and organized an armed uprising against the Soviet government. or 5 criminal cases against 240 citizens of Uzbekistan SSR and Kazakhstan SSR, who were accused of carrying out actions for counter-revolutionary purposes, were received and investigated by the working group.
Petitions to restore the deadline for filing an appeal protest and protests in the appeal procedure were brought to the Supreme Court's Criminal Trial Panel.
On August 24, 2023, at open court sessions, these petitions and protests were considered and satisfied, and according to Article 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Criminal Trial Panel of the Supreme Court against 240 persons in a total of 5 criminal cases acquittal was issued by the appellate instance.
