Animal Drawings to Be Auctioned

The New York Zoo has posted on its social media pages artworks created by penguins, giraffes, sloths, capybaras and other animals. These paintings will be put up for sale at a gala auction.
Zookeeper Mikaila Conway spoke about the creative process. She said that drawing has become not only a developmental activity for the animals, but also a way to have fun and express their emotions. But they still needed additional motivation. For example, when the penguins were promised delicious food or helped with a laser pointer, they took their drawing seriously.
