The Ecological Party of Uzbekistan faction is developing a new bill aimed at protecting animals. According to the bill, those who commit animal cruelty will be fined (up to 200 times the basic calculation amount) or imprisoned for up to 1 year. The guilty party will also be forced to cover veterinary costs for the damage caused to the animal. The bill also provides for a ban on abandoning animals, creating comfortable conditions in public places, and forming a culture of kindness to animals.
