In 2015, the actress also had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. This surgery, like the mastectomy, was preventive. Angelina made this decision due to her predisposition to cancer.

 In 2019, Jolie wrote an extensive article for a publication, where she described her case in detail. According to the star, the average woman has a 13% risk of developing breast cancer. However, her risk was 87%. As for the predisposition to ovarian cancer, which, by the way, struck her mother, then here the indicator at Angelina was 50%.

 The actress did not test fate and decided to carry out serious preventive operations.
