During the slalom competition in alpine skiing at the 2026 Milan–Cortina Winter Olympic Games, an unexpected and amusing incident took place. In the middle of the race, a dog suddenly ran onto the course.

According to eyewitnesses, the dog was not frightened. On the contrary, it confidently ran along the entire slope. Most surprisingly, it passed through all the slalom gates like a professional athlete and even crossed the finish line. Event staff and security personnel tried to catch it but were unable to stop it immediately.

As a result, the competition was temporarily suspended for safety reasons, and the athletes had to restart their runs.
