An officer of the оператив search service of the Khorezm Regional Department of Internal Affairs was detained in Khiva while receiving USD 30,000 from a citizen in exchange for assistance in obtaining permission to build a house on 12 sotkas of land allocated for agricultural purposes. He was caught red-handed with material evidence.

A criminal case has been opened against him, and he has been taken into custody.
