An International University Campus to Be Established in the Capital

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals aimed at implementing secondary specialized, vocational, and higher education programs based on international standards and expanding academic cooperation with prestigious foreign universities.
The presentation included a discussion on establishing the "Tashkent International University Campus," which would host leading foreign higher education institutions.
It was proposed to draw upon the experiences of "Education City" in Qatar, Dubai International Academic City in the United Arab Emirates, and the Incheon Global Campus in South Korea.
Instructions were issued to develop proposals regarding the attraction of branches of prestigious foreign universities to the campus, the construction of campuses and student housing, the simplification of licensing requirements, the allocation of grants and scholarships, the application of customs and tax incentives, and the subsidizing of a portion of royalty payments.
It was emphasized that the primary goal is to transform Uzbekistan into a leading educational hub in the region, characterized by the widespread implementation of international educational programs and standards.
