An International Panel Discussion on the Future of the Turkic World Held in Tashkent

On September 29 this year, a high-level international panel discussion titled “Turkic World Dialogues: A Common Future, a Common Vision” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The event was organized by the Directorate of Communications under the President of the Republic of Türkiye.

The conference was the third in a series of events being held ahead of the upcoming 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States. Its main objectives were to strengthen the role of the Turkic world at the regional and global levels, exchange common strategic perspectives, and enhance academic and cultural cooperation.

Prominent statesmen, diplomats, and leading experts from Uzbekistan and Türkiye participated in the opening ceremony and panel sessions. In particular, First Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Sodiq Safoyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Uzbekistan Ufuk Ulutaş, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mirvohid Azimov, and Deputy Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy Javlon Vahobov delivered speeches, highlighting the current state and prospects of bilateral relations.

A video address to the participants by Burhanettin Duran, Chairman of the Directorate of Communications of Türkiye and Professor, was also presented during the meeting.

The discussions focused in detail on advancing trade and economic, political, cultural, and social ties among the Turkic states to a new level, as well as preparations for the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in Ankara in October.
