An expert council on culture will be created under the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly

Members of the Permanent Commission of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports at a regular meeting in the Taurida Palace in St. Petersburg voted for the creation of an expert council on culture under the CIS IPA.
The parliamentarians were also aware of the work on the draft model law “On Electronic Communications in the Environment of Digital Media Resources”.
In addition, the members of the commission got acquainted with the draft model document on television and radio broadcasting, which is aimed at increasing the social and cultural significance of television.
“Television is not just a media, but a factor in the formation of human capital,” said Elena Lvova, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Cultural Technologies at the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture.
During the meeting, proposals were made to plan special events for translators of scientific and legal literature, as well as to organize a film dictation in Russian for students of the Commonwealth universities.
