The Eurasian Cleanliness Cup is held in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States with the support of the Grant Fund of the President of Russia
An environmental marathon will be held in the capital of Tajikistan.
This was reported by the Youth and Sports Committee under the government of the republic.
The event, called the Eurasian Cleanliness Cup, starts on September 16 and will last until September 24.
More than 160 teams from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Abkhazia, Belarus, Moldova and Russia will take part in it.
Each team competes with each other to collect garbage and separate it into groups.
The Cleanliness Cup is held in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States with the support of the Grants Fund of the President of Russia.
In Tajikistan, the cup was implemented on the initiative of the Youth and Sports Committee together with the Ministry of Education and Science, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo.
As part of this initiative, the following institutions of higher professional education in Tajikistan will compete with each other:
National University of Tajikistan;
branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe;
Academy of Public Administration under the President of Tajikistan;
Slavic University of Tajikistan and Russia;
International University of Foreign Languages of Tajikistan named after. Sotima Ulugzoda;
branch of the National Research Technological University "MISiS" in Moscow.
Students and lyceum students of the Moscow State University branch in Dushanbe collected 630 kg of garbage
The main objectives of the competition are not only the cleaning of forests and the banks of water bodies, but also the involvement of the population in volunteering, environmental education, landscaping and development of territories.
