For the first time in Afghanistan, a new drug was prepared from plants to prevent cardiac arrest and stroke.
A medical doctor from Kabul said that a 20-year study had produced a plant-based drug for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and stroke. More than 200 patients have already been treated with this drug.
The woman had asked the Taliban government to cooperate to increase the amount of drugs she was producing and deliver them to patients, and she did not demand money for it.
Abdul Rahman, who is over 50 years old, said that after 10 years of fighting ischemic heart disease, he was treated for the disease. He stated that he had arrived in Afghanistan on a tour of duty from Germany and had overcome the disease with the help of a doctor's medication.
"My heart was sore. I had pain on my left side. In 10-12 days it decreased. The pain disappeared and I felt very good. It is necessary to support the doctor, I am grateful to him as a patient treated by him,” he said.
At the moment, some other doctors are asking the Provisional Government to support the achievements of the country's doctors.
According to statistics from the Ministry of health, 93% of the drugs are imported from Pakistan, Iran, India, Turkey and Bangladesh.
