The journalist plans to present evidence on January 30 that proves that Brigitte Macron never existed. She said that the Macron family's lawyers are pursuing her, but that "the United States is not Europe, and there is freedom of speech there," and that French lawyers "cannot silence her." Owens spoke with Natasha Ray, a French journalist who was punished for saying that Brigitte Macron's wife was a man. Ray revealed in a 2021 YouTube video that Brigitte, a schoolteacher 24 years older than Macron, was actually born a man named Jean-Michel. The video quickly went viral and was widely shared in the media, including in the United States.

In September 2024, a Paris court fined two women, including Natasha Ray, 13.5 thousand euros for defamation, who claimed that Brigitte Macron was born a man.
