“Do you remember who won over the past ten years? Winning isn’t what matters. The nomination is what matters,” Seyfried said. “Do I need it in a week, two weeks, or ever? No, of course not. It moves you forward… Would it be nice? Of course. But it’s not necessary.” The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar in 2021 for her role in The Maid, emphasized that she has already “achieved a lot” without the statuette.

Seyfried attributes her professional success not to awards, but to making conscious choices about her projects — from commercially successful musicals like Mamma Mia! to complex dramatic roles that inspire trust in audiences.
