In the Matcha district, farmers have begun harvesting peanuts.

This was reported by the press service of the Chairman of Sogd Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.

It is noted that 2.8 thousand hectares of peanuts are sown in the region, which is 80 hectares more than last year.

The head of the region talked with workers and managers of agriculture and water supply at the Boki Hakim state farm, after which he concluded that the development of the industry is important for providing products to the markets of Tajikistan.

The press service said that the collection of peanuts on this farm is carried out using a special method, and the Matchinsky district is considered the main supplier of peanuts in the republic - it accounts for 90% of production.

Zafarabad plans to process 10 thousand tons of cotton in 2023

It is specified that the annual volume of peanut cultivation in the region is 14-15 thousand tons.

It should be noted that the Jaafar peanut processing and packaging plant operates here. The enterprise has the ability to produce more than 40 tons of nuts per day and more than 10 thousand tons per year.
