Today, June 16, Albanian President Bayram Begay, accompanied by his wife, arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit. They were met at the Tashkent International Airport by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other officials. After that, the guests went to the "New Uzbekistan" park and laid a wreath at the foot of the Independence Monument.
The President of Uzbekistan and the First Lady warmly welcomed the high-ranking guest and invited him to the podium. The national anthems of Uzbekistan and Albania were played by a military orchestra.
As part of the visit, issues of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Albania, developing political and economic ties will be discussed in Tashkent. The parties will also exchange views on cooperation and mutual support in the international arena. The President of Albania will also participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
