"Alazan-6" shells were launched into the clouds in Namangan

In order to prevent heavy hail in the Namangan region, special "Alazan-6" shells were launched into the clouds. According to "Uzgidromet", hail clouds were affected in the Kosonsoy and Yangikurgan districts on May 1, 11 and 12, and a total of 57 shells were used.

It is noted that these measures were taken to weaken the hail process and protect agricultural crops. The "Alazan-6" shell disperses silver iodide into the atmosphere, affecting the process of hail formation. 

For information, the Makur Hydrometeorological Process Impact Service operates in Namangan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, where the activity rate of hail processes is determined to be high. Experts have noted that in recent years, short-term heavy rainfall and hail events have increased due to climate change.
