Aid for Gaza was thrown into the sea

Some activists of the Global Sumud flotilla, in the lead-up to the Israeli attack on ships, packed humanitarian aid in plastic containers and threw it into the sea in the hope of reaching at least the Gaza Strip.

Of the 44 ships carrying aid to Gaza, 42 were captured by Israeli forces. The last Marinette ship was also caught. Only the Mikeno ship is said to have approached the Gaza Strip, but its fate is currently unclear.
