Agreements worth 1.88 billion US dollars were signed at the Agro-food Investment Forum

The city of Samarkand is hosting the International Conference on Food Safety on September 7-8. The first day of the conference ended yesterday. After the plenary meeting, the participants got acquainted with the exhibition "Agro-food potential of Uzbekistan" organized at the exhibition center located in the "Great Silk Road" international tourism center.

Within the framework of the exhibition, achievements in the reform of the agrarian network of Uzbekistan were presented. The guests were shown the potential of Uzbekistan in the field of agriculture and food, new approaches to ensuring food safety. The participants of the conference were introduced to the cluster, cooperation, and agrologistics methods of seed production, horticulture, animal husbandry, food production.

An agro-food investment forum was also held as part of this conference. More than 100 companies from 26 countries participated in this event, and agreements worth 1.88 billion US dollars were signed.
