Against the background of abnormal heat, the consumption of electricity in Uzbekistan broke the record values of the summer of 2022 and June of 2023.

It is noted that on July 26, 2023, the consumption of electricity in the Republic was 250.7 million kWh. On the same day of 2022, a total of 236.9 million kWh of electricity was used, and yesterday's figure was 5.8 percent more than the previous year. Before that, on July 12, 2023, the total consumption in the Republic was 247.5 million kWh, which was a new record. At the same time, on July 26, the hourly demand for electricity consumption was about 12,300 MW. This is 1,500 MW (+14.1%) more than the current situation in 2022. For information, the maximum consumption of electricity in 2022 was recorded on July 27, and this indicator was 239 million kWh, the daytime consumption capacity was 10,800 MW. The daily production volume of electricity by power plants in the energy system was 243.9 million kWh. This is 21.5 million kWh (9.6 percent) more than the current situation in 2022.
