The Turkish army launched airstrikes on Kurdistan Workers' Party (KIP) targets in northern Iraq. It was noted that 20 objects were destroyed.
KIP, banned in Turkey, claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in the center of Ankara, near the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The KIP statement was published on the website of the ANF agency, which is close to the organization.

KIP representatives said that during the "action", party members entered the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and killed a guard. The Ministry made a statement that two policemen were slightly injured in the incident and there were no deaths among them.

On the morning of October 1, an explosion occurred near the Ministry of Interior building in Kizilay Square in the center of Ankara. As a result, one of the terrorists was killed, and the other was "neutralized".

For information, the Kurdistan Workers' Party is fighting for Kurdish rights and Kurdish autonomy in Turkey. KIP was established in 1978. The organization is recognized as a terrorist organization in Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
