According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, which assessed the current situation in the car market of Uzbekistan, after a sharp decline in June, the car market rose again.

In July, 144,500 contracts for the sale of motor vehicles were concluded. This is 17% more than the previous month, and 40% more than July 2022. The total number of cars sold this month increased by 20% and exceeded 132,000. The most significant increase was recorded in Bukhara - 36%, Syrdarya - 35% and Surkhandarya - 31%.

Sales of new passenger cars in the primary market increased by 19.2 percent. Compared to last year, the increase was 64.5 percent. During the month, 29,600 new domestically produced passenger cars were sold. This is 24% more than in June and 59.3% more than the same period last year.

The demand for passenger cars made abroad has increased even more. During July, 4,900 new foreign cars were sold. This is 2.7 times higher than in July 2022.

In July, the secondary car market of passenger cars was distinguished by the growth of sales. During the month, 97,600 cars were sold, which is 17.6% more than a month ago. At the same time, a significant increase of 30% compared to July 2022 was recorded.

In July, citizens bought 2,700 electric cars, which is 28.9% more than in June and 4.7 times more than in July 2022. The largest number of electric cars were sold in the city of Tashkent (1.9 thousand units), Tashkent (153 units) and Khorezm regions (117 units).

The secondary market of electric cars was marked by a decline in sales. During the month, 318 units of electric cars were sold, which decreased by 15.2 percent in one month. However, compared to July 2022, there was an increase of 67%.
