An agreement in the amount of 93 million US dollars was signed between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank on the "Development of skills for the modern economy" project. This was reported by the Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It is noted that the Minister of Poverty Alleviation and Employment Behzod Musayev met with members of the delegation headed by Ayako Inagaki, head of the human resources development sector of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
At the meeting, opinions were expressed on the implementation of the agreement in the amount of 93 million US dollars concluded between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank under the "Development of skills for the modern economy" project.
This project is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan's industrial sectors, encouraging inclusive growth through vocational training of youth and the unemployed population.
This project will develop human resources as a skilled labor force in sectors such as construction, textile and garment industry, information and communication technologies, agribusiness and food industry, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
