Academy of Nurses will be established in Uzbekistan

According to the decision of the President of June 20 "On measures for effective organization of public administration in the field of health care within the framework of administrative reforms", the Academy of Nursing will be established.

According to the decision, this academy will be established from the 2023/2024 academic year on the basis of the Technical College of Public Health named after Chilanzor Abu Ali ibn Sina. From this academic year, public health technical schools named after Abu Ali ibn Sina will be established on the basis of medical colleges.

The following will be implemented:

training of specialists in the field of "highly qualified nurse" bachelor's education with a duration of 4 years of study at the Medical Higher Education Institution;
admission parameters based on the offers of technical schools and, additionally, the procedure for admission to study on the basis of a differentiated payment-contract;
the national system of 2-stage (fundamental and clinical-practical skills) assessment of the knowledge of medical students of the state higher education institutions and confirmation of their qualifications;
continuous professional education portal aimed at improving the qualifications of medical personnel.
The following centers will also be established:

Center for the Safety of Pharmaceutical Products;
Center for evaluation of medical and pharmaceutical personnel qualifications;
Center for Licensing and Accreditation of Medical Organizations.
State and non-state medical organizations are given the right to introduce training courses. Processes of continuous professional development of medical and pharmaceutical workers, improvement of their qualifications will be fully digitized.

By the end of 2023, all non-governmental medical organizations will be connected to the special information system of the Ministry of Health. Monitoring of non-governmental medical organization's employees, medical equipment, types of services, medical statistics and other reports is carried out. A system of "risk analysis" will be established in the control of medical activity.
