It was found that 31.9 kg of heroin and 37.3 kg of hashish were found in the cab of the truck, which was stated to be empty in the documents.
About 70 kg of narcotics imported into the country were discovered at the "Sariosia" border customs post in Surkhandarya. This was reported by the information service of the Customs Committee.
It was reported that the truck that entered the territory of the republic was inspected at the "Sariosiyo" border customs post of the Surkhondarya region customs department through the inspection complex. During the process, it was determined that the truck was not "empty" as the documents indicated.
When the truck was subjected to an in-depth customs inspection in cooperation with the customs officers and military personnel of the border troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it was revealed that 66 packages were hidden in inconspicuous spaces in its cabin. When these packages were opened, it was found that 30 of them contained 31.9 kg of heroin, and 36 of them contained 37.3 kg of hashish.
In this case, the total weight of seized narcotics, including the package, was 69.2 kg.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated by the customs authorities.
Earlier, 8.5 tons of drugs were stopped at Tashkent International Airport.
