About 60 Uzbeks in Iran Repatriated via Turkmenistan

 

Due to the complicated situation in the Middle East, about 60 Uzbek citizens who were in Iran were repatriated via Turkmenistan. This process was carried out in cooperation with the embassies of Uzbekistan in Tehran and Ashgabat, as well as Turkmen authorities.

Turkmenistan provided assistance in the evacuation process by offering its territory as a transit point. Operational headquarters have been established under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and evacuation work is ongoing.
