About 3,500 boxes of tobacco products were prevented from being put into circulation in Navoi

The Department of the General Prosecutor's Office reports that the introduction of tobacco products without excise stamps into circulation was prevented in the Karmana district of the Navoi region.

It is noted that the Navoi regional administration of the department held a quick event in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Customs. At the event, when the Epica motor vehicle of citizen A.B. was stopped and inspected at the "Aqtosh" YPX of Karmana district, citizen A.J. It was found that he was bringing 3,460 boxes of four different types of foreign-made tobacco products without excise marks to Navoi city, and another 140 boxes of tobacco products were taken from his house as physical evidence.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 186-1 of the Criminal Code (Illegal production or distribution of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic products and tobacco products), and investigation is underway.

In May, almost 200 million soum worth of tobacco products illegally imported into the region were burned in Namangan.
Also, in Tashkent and Ferghana, the sale of excise-free tobacco and alcohol products has been suspended.
At a quick event in Namangan region, it was reported that the introduction of tobacco products without an excise stamp into circulation was prevented.
