According to the General Prosecutor's Office, despite the moratorium on cutting trees, 2,427 violations related to illegal cutting of trees were registered in the past year, of which 714 bushels of valuable trees were illegally cut. As a result of unplanned and uncontrolled harvesting of plants included in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the growth areas of natural reserves and populations are being reduced. For example, 11,550 trees of the naturally growing medicinal plant "Tajik kavragi" were illegally cut down in the territory of "Bobotog" state forestry of Surkhandarya region in July-September of this year, costing nature 5.7 billion. A criminal case has been opened and investigations are being conducted in connection with the damage caused to the amount of soums. Control measures aimed at protecting the lands of the Forest Fund are being carried out consistently. In particular, according to the results of the examination of 8065 documents related to the lease of forest fund land plots, which make up a total area of 67.7 thousand hectares in the republic, forest fund land plots were leased contrary to the requirements of legal documents. 18 criminal cases, 46 administrative and 23 disciplinary cases were initiated, and 1,539 hectares of illegally occupied land were returned to the forest fund. In general, 107 submissions were submitted to the authorities to eliminate cases of violations of the law, 206 illegal documents were protested, 4 lawsuits were filed with the courts, 304 persons were brought to administrative and disciplinary responsibility. 7 criminal cases were initiated for violations of the Polish law, and the violated rights of 228 citizens were restored.
