A young man who wrote insulting comments about Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his family was arrested

According to the Kattakorgan district court on criminal cases, I.D., born in 2004. while working in Russia in the summer of 2023, a young man watched a video titled "President family" on Instagram and left a comment insulting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his family.

Later, he deleted this post with the words of his acquaintances. I.D. After returning to Uzbekistan, the criminal case against him was considered in the Kattakorgan district court. According to the court verdict, I.D. He was found guilty of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code (assaulting the President of Uzbekistan).

The accused young man said that he regretted this act, that he did it because he was young without knowing it, and that he was not dissatisfied with the president's policy. Taking this into account, the court sentenced the young man to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
