A young man who insulted the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was detained

A young man born in 2004 in the Samarkand region was found to have insulted the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and spread information promoting religious hatred in the comments of a channel on his Telegram profile on December 30, 2025. This message was widely circulated on social networks and caused discussions. Prior to the investigation, the person’s actions were assessed in the course of the investigation based on Article 184³ of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an administrative report was drawn up and sent to court.
According to the decision of the Pakhtachi District Criminal Court of January 9, 2026, the young man’s actions were found to be an offense and he was sentenced to 12 days of administrative detention.
