A worker was killed when a historic tower collapsed in Rome

Part of the medieval Tower of Conti collapsed in the Italian capital of Rome on November 3 during a restoration project. Four workers were trapped under the rubble, one of whom was found 12 hours later but died in an ambulance after suffering a cardiac arrest. One of the other three workers was hospitalized in critical condition.
The prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the incident. The Tower of Conti, built in 1203, was once 50 meters high, but is now 29 meters low.
