A women's market has opened in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. This was reported by one of the local publications.
The purpose of opening the market is to provide employment to more than 100 women entrepreneurs who have been unemployed for the past two years. According to the founder of the market, Rajmana Khaliqi, in the current situation, it remains urgent to create more comfortable conditions for women living in Afghanistan.
Market seller Olya Ahmadyor, who is the sole breadwinner of her family, said that she has been in business for over 18 years and can confidently sell her products in the store.
"We are happy that such a market has opened, because before there was no place to sell our products," he said.
The bazaar reportedly has a restaurant, lawn and more than 30 shops run by women. Every day women can come here for shopping. The market covers an area of about 20 hectares. 50 million Afghanis were spent on the construction of the market.
