On August 4, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Belarus Safarzoda Bakhtovar, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
“Minsk and Dushanbe have sister city relations. We are interested in developing trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation. We are ready to discuss the prospects for their development,” the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee stressed.
In turn, the Ambassador of Tajikistan congratulated the CIS countries on the start of the II Games. S. Amirali drew attention to the fact that the delegation of Tajikistan will take part in the competition.
“Our countries have friendly relations,” the diplomat stressed. We are developing cooperation in various fields. In particular, we are interested in opening a trading house of Tajikistan in Minsk.”
It is planned that it will become a cultural and economic center and will be created in the format of public and private partnership. The trading house will unite points for the sale of goods, restaurants, exhibition centers.
“In Minsk, there are examples of the construction of such facilities,” said the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee. “We are ready to assist in providing a list of free retail space for further organization of work on opening a trading house.”
During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of economic cooperation, interaction in the field of culture. In particular, the holding of the Day of National Culture of Tajikistan in Minsk, the participation of the Dushanbe delegation in the celebration of the City Day on September 8–9.
