A threatening letter was sent via pigeon in India

On 18 August, in the Katmaria area close to the Pakistani border, police captured a pigeon with a letter attached to its leg. The letter contained urdu and English inscriptions reading “Kashmir Freedom” (Kashmir Liberation), “Time has come” (time has come), and a warning of an explosion at the railway station in Jammu.

Security measures were tightened in the wake of the incident.
