A strong earthquake occurred in Indonesia

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of the Indonesian island of Java, as a result of which at least 10 people were injured and one person was killed.

This was reported by the National Disaster Management Council of Indonesia.

The earthquakes damaged hundreds of houses, offices, medical and educational institutions in Central Java province. One person died of a heart attack.

According to the Indonesian Geophysical Agency, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 25 km. No tsunami threat has been declared.
