A statue of thinker and qomusi scholar Abu Rayhon Beruniy will be erected on the territory of Jamia Milliya Islamiya (JMI) university, located in the capital of India. This was reported by the agency” World".

It was noted that a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Ahadov and the rector of the University, professor Najma Akhtar. In it, professor Abu Rayhon praised Beruni's rich scientific heritage, noting that his “Kitab ul-hind” was one of the first unique scholarly works written about India. 

The statue of Abu Rayhan Beruniy is planned to be installed in a crowded square adjacent to the law, Foreign Languages department, design and innovation department, arab-Indian Cultural Center and other branches of the higher knowledge country. The statue is presented to the university by Uzbekistan.

At the end of August, the decision of the head of state “on support of the establishment of the UNESCO — Uzbekistan international prize named after Abu Rayhon Beruniy”was adopted. An international exhibition and events are scheduled to be held in Paris on September 4-8 as part of the 1050th anniversary celebration of Abu Raihon Beruniy's birth.
